GPS Designed for Complete Mobile Freedom
By Shawna Kelly

Pocket CoPilot GPS   (Global Positioning Satellite), by Travroute, enables you to sit back and relax while you are driving. It can save you gas and time, as well as reduce your driving anxiety. This GPS navigator figures out your directions, so you can free your mind to focus on more important thoughts. CoPilot's wireless capability also enables it to be utilized by pedestrians. This feature especially sets CoPilot apart from other GPS competitors -allowing you to experience true mobile freedom.

CoPilot's hardware is sleeker than most GPS add-ons because it's receiver can be slipped on as a jacket (sometimes referred to as a sleeve or expansion pack). This wireless jacket may be powered in your vehicle or, if it is already charged, it can continue to work without being connected. You are then free to walk wirelessly with this GPS tool. The jacket also offers extra storage (Compact Flash) and avoids multiple wires becoming entangled, which happens with other GPS hardware. A Compact Flash card slot-using edition and Y-cable edition are also available.

This GPS tool verbalizes all of your directions (from your present location to your destination) in a male or female voice. CoPilot also has the valuable feature of listing and verbally announcing a wide variety of points of interest, such as nearby tourist attractions to gas stations -and everything in between.

This navigational technology also warns you of upcoming turns. For example, it might say "Just ahead turn left on Cedar Lane." Or, it may say next "In five miles turn left on Market Street," and then it will warn you again upon approaching this next street too. (Some GPS navigation programs will only announce "turn left in 500 yards" but do not announce street names.) CoPilot really takes the panic out of missing turns.

The Best Advantage

The best advantage of using CoPilot GPS to navigate to your destination, is when you miss a turn, or many turns (accidentally or purposefully), it will reroute you. CoPilot will automatically reroute you once, twice, or several times, with ease. This is actually capable of impressing the most technology-resisting people you know.

A road may differ from this software's guidance only about 3% of the time. It is still an amazingly comprehensive software, as demonstrated by infrequently traveled dirt roads even being mapped. CoPilot's accuracy saves you from using up gas and time on wrong turns, and further corrections to wrong turns. Finally, you can save gas without effort, and you are free to focus on meeting or recreational thoughts -instead of navigation details.

CoPilot GPS comes with connectors for mounting your device in your vehicle with suction or clip-on accessories. These are not terribly sturdy mounts if you are a power user. This is one of the only areas of improvement that ought to be upgraded soon. Better yet, instead of waiting to see if this will be improved, you can utilize a sturdy handheld automobile mounting or docking gadget now from a company such as Revolve Design.

CoPilot Links into Your Outlook Contacts

This GPS program links into your Outlook contacts on your PDA, which also synchronizes with your desktop. Due to this smart feature, you rarely have to type any address or information.

Travroute's CoPilot also calculates your ETA, estimated time of arrival, and keeps it updated while you travel. It figures out your ETA through your satellite located position in relation to your destination and speed. You can rather accurately -and far in advance- inform those you are meeting of your arrival time.

No Monthly or Hidden Fees

Surprisingly, there is no monthly service charge for this GPS! Additionally, the CoPilot software, and hardware combined, is about the same price as the average cost of a typical multimedia program.

CoPilot GPS is an outstanding wireless or vehicle powered navigator! Technophobes are also impressed! CoPilot helps save gas by reducing driving time and removes the stress of late or missed meetings. It allows the user to concentrate on a business or pleasure meeting ahead, rather than constantly worrying about where to turn ahead. Copilot has won top award stars by Business Week, Mobile Computing and PC Magazine. Find your CoPilot GPS here.
